一、课程简介与课程性质
本课程着重培养学生在商务活动各领域中运用英语的技巧和能力。教学内容与商务活动紧密联系,使学生在掌握语言技能的同时,了解现代国际商务的现状,提高其运用英语进行口头及书面商务交际的能力。本课程是一门专业核心课程。
二、课程教学目标
在基础英语教学的基础上,将词汇、语法的学习和语言技能训练同商务话题紧密结合,以达到在体验商务中学习语言、提高商务交际能力的目的。
1. 巩固原有的语法、词汇知识,掌握基本的商务词汇与商务概念知识。
2. 在各个商务话题中训练听、说、读、写四项英语技能,使学生能够自由表达想法和观点,并形成符合标准的文字。
3. 将语言技能与商务技能结合运用,培养学生的分析能力和沟通能力,为今后职场生涯打下良好基础。

本课程与商务英语专业所开设的其他课程密切相关,只是本课程更着重综合能力的培养。
六、教学方法
本课程采用交际教学法,将国际商务活动的真实内容引入课堂教学,使学生感受真实的商务世界。同时,除了基础的词汇、阅读和语法学习外,角色扮演和案例分析将学习引向深入。采用多媒体和网络的辅助,使学习不仅限于课堂之内。
七、教学重点与难点
英语语言的四项基本技能——听说读写,基本的商务知识,英语商务文体的阅读和写作。难点在于学生缺乏实际经验,对于交际活动的认识不会很清晰,需要教师给足相关信息或背景知识,使交流不仅仅流于形式,而是激发学生的主观能动性,达到学以致用。
